The WHA cannot make exceptions because each registration entails financial commitments by the Association.

1 Non-members qualify for the member fee by joining the WHA online in conjunction with their conference registration. Non-members who register on-site in Salem, MA may join the WHA at registration and enjoy the reduced member fee. A person does not qualify for a rebate if he/she registered for the conference as a non-member and subsequently joins the WHA.
2 Any matriculating student regardless of affiliation with the WHA. A valid student ID card is needed when picking up conference materials. Students who graduated  in May or June 2007 are eligible for this discounted fee.
3 Must be accompanied by registered conferee and to be used only for social functions.
4 For Friday or Saturday, 26 or 27 June. Sunday is gratis for any day-pass holder.
5 Registrants for the Art Tour will be contacted regarding preference for either the Thursday evening or Sunday afternoon options.


The WHA has reserved rooms in two area hotels and the school dormitories. All conference registrants must make their own accomodation reservations for these two outside hotels.

  • The Renaissance Hotel. The Renaissance is an executive-class hotel located in downtown Long Beach with a conference rate of $149/night.: http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/lgbrn. (562-437-5900); The Renaissance is located in the heart of Long Beach’s reinvigorated downtown, with clubs, restaurants and other urban facilities a walk away. The hotel is also close to the Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the Pacific Ocean. It is located about four miles from campus. Transportation in available by a cheap and convenient public transport service called “The Passport.” For those with automobiles, there is an extra charge for parking.
  • The Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport. This is a tourist-class hotel located near the Long Beach airport, about a ten minute drive from campus or from downtown: http://www.hilongbeach.com. (562-597-4401); The conference rate is $89/night. Those staying at the Holiday Inn are advised to rent a car for local transport. For those wishing to explore the region, including those bringing family members to Southern California, it should be noted that the Holiday Inn is conveniently located immediately adjacent to the 405 freeway, offering access north to Los Angeles and south to Orange and San Diego counties.
  • Dormitories at CSU Long Beach include full board and free parking and must be paid with your registration. Double occupancy will be $55 per night / per person and single occupancy is $85 per night. This charge includes all meals in the school cafeteria. Space here is limited, double occupancy is preferred.
