WHA World Scholar Fund

The WHA provides limited funding fellowships for international scholars who wish to participate in the Annual Conference. The WHA World Scholar Conference Fellowship may consist of (all or part) return economy air fare arranged by the WHA, accommodation at the conference, conference registration, and a modest per diem.

Priority will be given to international scholars who do not have travel funding from their home institutions.  All possible attempts at securing other funding should be made prior to applying for the scholarship. Selection for the fellowship will be based on the submission of a completed 500-word abstract on one of the themes of the annual conference or, secondarily, on any world history topic. Applicants must be willing to apply for and finance their own visas to the conference site. The fellowship will be awarded by a selection committee appointed by the WHA Executive Council.
